Contraindications VôSol: Hypersensitivity to this drug or any ingredients. A perforated tympanic membrane must be considered a contraindication for the use of any medication in the external auditory canal, unless seen by a physician.
PrecautionsVôSol and VôSol HC: Dosage instructions should be followed carefully. Consult a physician if there is no relief.
Side Effects / Adverse Effects VôSol and VôSol HC: Stinging or mild burning may be noted occasionally upon first application, or if mild inflammation is present.
No serious side effects have been reported.
Recommended DosageVôSol and VôSol HC: Carefully remove all cerumen and debris. To promote continuous contact, insert a VôSol or VôSol HC-saturated wick of cotton into the ear canal for at least 24 hours; the wick can be kept moist by adding 3 to 5 drops of solution 3 to 4 times daily. Remove the wick after 24 hours, but continue the schedule of 3 to 5 drops 3 to 4 times daily for as long as necessary or indicated.
