Contraindications
Not to be given to patients who are severely debilitated or suffering from renal failure. Alkalosis, hypermagnesemia.

Safety Information / Warning
Do not take more than 80mL during a 24-hour period. Do not take the maximum dosage for more than 2 Weeks or if symptoms recur, unless directed by a physician. Do not take if you suffer from kidney disease, except under your physician's advice. Antacids can interfere with the absorption of iron preparations and/or tetracyclines.

Precautions
Avoid concomitant use with tetracycline antibiotics and/or iron preparations. Do not take within 2hours of another medicine because the effectiveness of the other medicine may be altered.

Overdose
Symptoms:   In the presence of renal insufficiency, accumulation of magnesium in circulation may cause CNS depression. Chronic ingestion may lead to phosphorus deficiency in presence of low phosphorus diet.



Treatment:  Symptomatic.

Recommended Dosage
Adults: 10to 20mL taken 4 times daily as needed between meals and at bedtime or as directed.

Supplied / Packaging
Each 5mL of opaque, white suspension with a mint flavor and a peppermint and spearmint odor (pH: 7.3to8.5) contains: aluminum hydroxide 165mg (as aluminum hydroxide compress gel), magnesium hydroxide 200mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: alcohol, calcium cyclamate, flavor, guar gum, hydrogen peroxide, parabens, simethicone and sorbitol. Alcohol: 1%. Energy: 9.6kJ (2.3kcal). Sodium: <1mmol (1mg). Gluten-, sucrose- and tartrazine-free. Bottles of 350mL. Protect from freezing.
